Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades – Holy Mass at the Our Lady, Patroness of America Center
August 6, 2022 – First Saturday Devotion Mass, Feast of the Transfiguration
– Mass begins 11:00am ET
Bishop Rhoades has given Our Lady and Patroness a place where She will provide Graces of healing and conversion to those who come seeking Her Intercession. He has allowed this devotion to flourish in an exceptional act of pastoral care and faith in the lay faithful. Please come and join with us in offering thanks and prayers for what he has done. And please join us in prayer that Heaven’s Plans for this work be accomplished.
Bishop Rhoades will rename the chapel “The Oratory of the Holy Family!” He determined this name is more fitting because of the chapel’s canonical status as an Oratory. But more so, it is recognition that imitation of the Holy Family is a sure path in obtaining the gift of purity which Our Lady, the Immaculate Virgin, Patroness of America wants for us.
The Holy Family is the perfect example of the life that Our Lady wants for us. She calls us to imitate the familial life in their little home in Nazareth wherein Divinity and Humanity lived in perfect harmony, peace and purity. Renaming the chapel is yet another example of Bishop Rhoades’ clear understanding of this devotion and Our Lady’s hope for her children.
Our Lady, the Immaculate Virgin, Patroness of America (Our Lady of America) asks that we seek purity by imitating Her and the Holy Family.
“I Come to you, oh children of America, as a last resort. I Plead with you to listen to My Voice. Cleanse your souls in the Precious Blood of My Son. Live in His Heart and take Me in that I may Teach you to live in great purity of heart which is so pleasing to God. Be My army of chaste soldiers, ready to fight to the death to preserve the purity of your souls. I am the Immaculate One, Patroness of your Land. Be My faithful children as I have been your Faithful Mother. These are My Words, oh My daughter. Make them known to My children. I Desire to make the whole of America My Shrine by making every heart accessible to the Love of My Son.”
(letter of Sister Mary Ephrem to her confessor +Archbishop Paul Frances Leibold dated 2/20/60)
Our Lady confirms Her Identity to Sister Mary Ephrem as that which the U.S. Bishops declared in 1846 by proclaiming Our Lady “The Immaculate Conception, Patroness of the United States of America”. This title was ratified the following year, 1847, by the Holy See. Our Lady gave us prayers through the visionary, including:
“By Thy Holy and Immaculate Conception O Mary, deliver us from evil.”
