St. Andrew Advent to Christmas Novena

Advent to Christmas Novena

From the Feast of Saint Andrew the Apostle to the Nativity of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ one may begin a special prayer, simply called the “Christmas Prayer” to obtain favors if one’s requests are in accordance with God’s Holy Will. It is believed that whoever recites the following prayer with a pious heart 15 times a day from November 30th (St. Andrew’s Feast Day) to December 25th, will obtain whatever is asked.

“Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, O my God! to hear my prayer and grant my desires, through the merits of Our Saviour Jesus Christ, and of His Blessed Mother.”  Amen.

+ This Christmas prayer carries an Imprimatur from Archbishop Michael Augustine of New York City during the Pontificate of Pope Leo XIII on February 6, 1897.

Fiat, Domine, Voluntas Tua,
Sicut in Coelo et in Terra.  Amen.
